Covid definitely changed a lot of plans, travel, celebrations, family get-togethers. For the Dayton and Lyon families, it was all three. Katie and her cute family lived in Manhattan and wanted to share their new baby's blessing with their entire family in Utah. However, with travel restrictions and health concerns they had to wait a full year to share the happy event. They decided while everyone was together to celebrate the occasion with family photos. I couldn't agree more with their decision!
To me family photos, especially extended family photos, are priceless. Every day is a gift with your family. You never know what the next day brings. I cherish photos of my family all together and have beautiful stories of other families that have been shared with me.
It was fun to be together with this wonderful family and I was privileged to witness the solemn occasion. Blessing a wiggly one-year-old is very different than a newborn and having him sit still for family photos was, as you can imagine, a bit of a task, but it made for fun photos!
