Extended families are my thing, the bigger the better!!! I came from a small family so I love hearing the fun stories of large families and laughing with them. Some photographers shy away from extended and large families, but I say BRING THEM ON!!! I especially loved the Westover family. They were able to include their Abuela from California. She was so proud to be photographed with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was taking her own photos and proudly sending them to family in Mexico.
The family was getting together for a reunion and staying in lovely Eden, Utah. I think this valley is one of the most beautiful parts of Utah, and that's saying a lot. It is so untouched and the rolling hills seem to go on forever. We decided to meet up at Snowbasin Ski Resort. The evening sun was perfect and the breeze was lovely from the already hot temperatures in the valley.
It was wonderful getting to know this wonderful family that came from all parts of the country to gather. I am so glad they asked me to document such a great occasion!
