Jordan Pines is located about 9 miles up Big Cottonwood Canyon and is for those seeking a beautiful mountain setting with wide-open fields, tall grasses, and wonderful pine trees. Unfortunately, pets are not welcome at this location, but your children are! There is now plenty of parking.
This beautiful area of Millcreek Canyon is filled with tall grasses, post fences, and golden aspens. It is lovely in both the morning and the evening. Doggies are allowed. There is a $5 fee to be paid on your way out of the Canyon.
I found this gem last year and it is one of my favorites. The maple trees are beautiful and it has a hidden mountain view. It also has some post fences and is also lovely in both the morning and the evening. It has several parking areas. And of course, you can bring your furry friend. There is a $5 fee to be paid on your way out of the Canyon.
Tibble Fork (American Fork Canyon)
Tibble Fork is located up American Fork Canyon with sweeping views of Mt Timpanogos in the background. A beautiful mountain setting with amazing views and beautiful pine trees. Pets are welcome at this location. I prefer shooting above the reservoir where it is less crowded and the view is stunning! There is a $6 fee to be paid as you enter the canyon.
Guardsman Pass (This is a new fall location these are from summer)
Guardsman Pass is located between Big Cottonwood Canyon and Park City. There are tons of Aspen trees and the view of the mountains is spectacular! There are also tall grasses and wide-open fields. If you enter through Big Cottonwood doggies are not allowed. But if you come through Park City, bring them along.
